Study of the activation of the NF-κB transcriptional regulator in a Caco-2 cell layer transfected with an alkaline phosphatase (SEAP) reporter vector. Measurements of the SEAP activity were carried out after incubation of the Caco-2 cell layer without or with stimulation with IL-1β (2 ng/ml), the AminoAlta™ probiotic formulation, and different partially hydrolyzed vegetal protein commercial preparations (PHVPs). RUNFA, relative units of NF-κB activation, calculated as normalized SEAP activity.
