Representative H&E staining of terminal Ileum sections from litters of RG-colonized and control or GF mice, with comparisons of mice sacrificed at 14 weeks of age (n = 4 mice/group). S107-48 RG strain colonized mice, which were previously GF, demonstrate subjective flattening of epithelial villi and reduced goblet cells at bases.
