Lane 7 (8sh) shows that Arc fails to express at 8 hours of 4BF when the cultures are transduced with an AAV0 virus encoding a short-hairpin RNA (shRNA) targeting the coding region of Arc. Lane 1 has purified Arc protein. (B) volcano plot of RNA-Seq results comparing mRNA isolated from neurons after 8 hours of 4BF that were transduced with AAV9 virus encoding either the Arc shRNA or a scrambled version of this shRNA, done in triplicated.
