Urolithin A but not UB reduced reactive oxygen species (ROS) levels in podocytes exposed to high glucose. Podocytes cultured for 7 d in normal (5.5 mM, NG) or high (25 mM, HG) glucose were incubated for 24 h with 10 µM UA or 10 µM UB. ROS were detected by flow cytometry using CellROX Green reagent.
