The HB101 strain was used as a negative control. Those strains that survived within macrophages according to the criteria used as reference (equal to or greater than the values exhibited by the AIEC NRG857c and HM605 strains) are highlighted in gray. Mean and standard deviation indicated correspond to three independent experiments performed in duplicate.
