Reduction in epidermal thickness by topical treatment with peptides. The experimental design was similar to the schematic shown in Figure 1. Peptides (2 μM) were added to LPS treatment for 14 days. Measurements of thickness under the stratum corneum were made at 20 sites along 1-cm long sections stained with anti-Ly6G. Two sections were analyzed from each of the five mice in each group (n = 10). Dots represent the mean values for each section. C depicts the depilated LPS-treated control.
