Schematic overview of the test environment for the experiments. Each ventilator system was attached via a tubing system and an endotracheal tube to the TestChest. The TestChest includes a pressure and an O2 sensor. In addition, a flow sensor SFM3019 was attached to the inlet of the TestChest to measure the actual tidal volume. A medical-grade O2 bottle (four bar) was used for the test of the O2 dynamics.
