Early membrane revealed an obvious change associated with apoptosis in EV71-infected RD cells. The exposure of phosphatidylserine (PS) was analyzed using FITC-labeled annexin V. Cell death was assessed with propidium iodide (PI). EV71-infected RD cells were harvested and stained with annexin V-FITC/PI at 8 h after infection, and then examined under a fluorescence microscope (1000×).
