Performance values for both participants on the three discrimination tasks. During the size discrimination task, the human participants were asked to choose which square appeared larger. During the simple shape discrimination task, the individuals were asked to choose if an arrow was pointing to the left or to the right. During the complex shape discrimination task, the individuals were asked to report if a collection of phosphenes resembled the letter O, V, K, or Z. The number of correct trials for each condition and for each participant are given in the table.
