Expression of Tspan8 subfamily members and ADAMs in tumor cells. (A) mRNA expression of Tspan8, CD9 and CD81 is enhanced particularly in colonic adenocarcinoma, while expression of ADAM10 and ADAM17 can be detected in all tumor tissues analyzed. Expression data were retrieved from The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA). (B) Expression of Tspan8, CD9 and CD81 in the indicated tumor cell lines as assessed by flow cytometry.
