In both body fluids, a median of 5 pathogenic variants were found, ranging from 3–8 variants in plasma ctDNA and from 1–8 in urinary ctDNA. Notably, when comparing pathogenic variants found in plasma and the matching urine sample per patient, 63% of pathogenic plasma variants could be detected in the matched urine samples and vice versa, and the recovery rate of pathogenic urine-derived variants in plasma cfDNA was 66%.
