Combination of ivermectin and gemcitabine synergistically inhibits the tumor growth in vivo. (A) BALB/c nude mice were xenografted with PANC-1 cells (4 × 106 cells). Then, the mice were intraperitoneally injected with dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) or gemcitabine (10 mg/kg) or ivermectin (5 mg/kg) twice a week for 21 days. (B) Mice body weights. (C) Tumor volume was measured every 3 days. Data represents the mean ± SD (n = 6). *p < 0.05 and **p < 0.01 compared with the gemcitabine alone group. (D) Representative image of tumors on day 21. (E) Tumor weights. Data represents the mean ± SD (n = 6). *p < 0.05 and **p < 0.01 compared with the gemcitabine alone group.
