Fig. 3

The total risk and rescue scores of patients who attempted suicide during the pre-pandemic (February 2019 to January 2020) and pandemic (February 2020 to January 2021) periods. (a) There was no difference in the total risk score between the pre-pandemic and pandemic periods (both 6; interquartile range, 5–7; P < 0.818). (b) The total rescue score of patients in the pandemic period (12; interquartile range, 11–13) was less than that in the pre-pandemic period (13; interquartile range, 12–14) (P < 0.001). The solid circle and square represent the median value of the risk score and the rescue score for the pre-pandemic and pandemic periods respectively. The asterisk (*) indicates statistically significant difference.
