Abf2 (C), Abf4 (D), and Abf50 (E) are three essential modifier enzymes required for albofungin (compound 1) maturation, with high sequence similarity to homologous enzymes encoded in other BGCs. The multisequence was aligned using ClustalW version 2.0, and the phylogenetic tree was generated by the neighbor-joining tree method without distance corrections.
