Two high-power LEDs (more than 3,000 lumens/single LED) are placed in one column, and the LEDs are arrayed as 2 × 6. LED circuit boards are mounted on a large heat sink (12 × 24 × 12 cm). On the upper side of the sample, a mirror with a heat sink (3 × 24 × 12 cm) is placed. Two heat sinks are cooled by cooling fans. The airflow shown by the blue arrow also removes heat from the buffer solution in the acrylic container. (D) Inside view of the LED illuminator.
