In the upper panel are plotted the distributions of Mahalanobis distances, i.e. the distances from the mean of the TN subgroup in the three-dimensional space of MAC, PSO and TOR scores, for the PC patient scores of the RTI and PTI subgroups. In the middle panel are the analogous distributions for the PC patient scores derived by permutation. In the lower panel are displayed the cumulative probability of the distance distributions for the original and derived scores for the two subgroups.
