Expression of rpoS during cell growth. Strains CU263 (open circles) and CU329 (closed circles), each carrying rpoS-lacZ PF977, were grown at 37°C in Luria broth. Both cell growth (A) and β-galactosidase activity expressed by PF977 (B) were measured.
