Children exposed in utero to maternal CHIKV infection present an exacerbated inflammatory environment. Quantification of circulating inflammatory mediators were performed by multiplex assay, including proinflammatory cytokines (A), anti-inflammatory cytokines (B), growth factors (C) and chemokines (D). Results are expressed as mean and standard deviation of each analyte. For statistical analysis, ANOVA or Kruskal–Wallis was used according to the normality of variables. CHIKV = Chikungunya.
