UV–vis spectra of 1:8 dilutions of films extracted in 2.0 mL of isopropanol for (A) syringaldehyde at (black) 0, (dark pink) 10, (blue) 20, (pink) 30, (dark red) 60, (dark green) 120, and (red) 180 min of oxidation and for (B) vanillin and (C) 4-hydroxybenzaldehyde (black) before and (red) after 180 min of oxidation.
