The desired correction for this patient was 8° in the frontal plane (increase in medial proximal tibial angle) and 6° in the sagittal plane (decrease in posterior tibial slope). The cut is therefore asymmetrical at the expense of the lateral side to correct the posterior slope and the varus simultaneously.
