Fig. 1 — Kaplan–Meier survival curves for mitral valve repair (MVr) vs replacement (MVR). Endocarditis patients with MVR had a greater all-cause mortality than those with MVr. However, there was no significant difference in long-term mortality (p = 0.4869). Test of proportional-hazard’s assumption satisfied (p = 0.7665). Mean follow-up was 5.3 years and a maximum of 15.4 years
