Detection of cilia vibration using the endoscopic configuration. Images were taken through an endoscope with laser illumination. The correlation spectrum extracted from the analysis of the speckle patterns (a) from the ciliated mucosa area, presents a peak in the spectrum at a frequency around 9.8 Hz, and (b) in the lumen of the nasal cavity no apparent peak exists.
