This diagnosis was supported by evidence of fibrosis/hyalinosis of the small arteries (blue-color in the vessel wall). The tortuous arteriole with collagenous fibrosis is surrounded by an enlarged PVS. A Charcot-Bouchard microaneurysms can also be noted (arrow).
