Scanning parameters used. Diffusion column indicates how the staining process was done PD, passive diffusion; CV, continuous vacuum; IV, intermittent vacuum. Some samples were tested more than once under different parameters and staining times. Samples AD_07–AD_12 were scanned before and after CPD. Specimen codes used here correspond to the ones indicated in Table 2, Figures 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and Supplementary Material.
