Note. Each row reflects two models, each with the same primary predictor of interest. First set of columns: Independent samples two-sided t-tests. Bonferroni adjusted p-values indicate that President Trump’s “... attitude towards women or women’s rights” is the only political concern that emerged as a significant predictor of prenatal anxiety. Second set of columns: Multiple linear regressions, each with one political concerns predictor (in “Variable” column), all models controlling for expectant parents’ places of birth, relationship status, SES, age, parity, trimester, and the other mental health variables. Details of each of these multiple linear regression models are presented in Table S4. Bonferroni adjustments were implemented to account for 32 comparisons (8 political concerns × 4 mental health outcomes).
