Among total of 32545 patients admitted to the Department of Infectious Diseases of Ruijin hospital from January 1, 2010 to July 31, 2022, there were only 412 patients were parasitic infections. A small number of patients with uncertain parasitic infection (16.02%) were diagnosed by the exclusion of other diseases with effective anti-parasitic therapy, and all the following three criteria should be met in this group: (1) elevated eosinophils or IgE levels; (2) exclusion of other fever-related diseases; and (3) effective results of anti-parasitic therapy.
