Case 5: R-SVC draining into the LA. Chest x-ray with anteroposterior projection (A) and TEE with midesophageal view at 118° in grayscale (B) and with color Doppler (C). A chest x-ray (A) taken to confirm the position of a right arm venous line confirms the presence of an R-SVC. However, TEE (B, C) reveals that the R-SVC in this patient is not in the usual location; instead, it is located further posterior where it drains into the LA.
