Whole-blood samples anticoagulated with either heparin or EDTA (solid and stippled squares, respectively) were stained for surface expression of HLA-DR and CD11b immediately (time zero), after an 18-h incubation at RT, and after an 18-h incubation at 37°C with or without the addition of IFN-γ plus GM-CSF. PMN were gated, and results are expressed as percentage of positive cells and fluorescence intensity (mean channel shift).
