The fate of neurotrophin receptors/Sortilin interactions. The binding of proNT to the complex Sortilin/p75NTR triggers intracellular pathways that activate caspase 3, leading to cell death. On the other hand, the binding of matured NT to Trk receptors is responsible for NF-kB activation, which induces cell survival.
