Loss of typical RPE morphology and vessel formation in unsuccessful RPE isolation
Unsuccessful RPE isolation will typically present in the first month as a loss of typical RPE morphology. Most notably, RPE cultures may demonstrate a lengthening of RPE cells (A, white arrows) and vessel formation (B, red arrow). If this occurs refer to troubleshooting Problem 3.
