A few qualitative examples of segmentation results by 3 methods across 4 scanners, column (a) re-scaled WSI, (b) ground truth, (c) HCT, (d) HAC, and (e) U-Net results. Particularly, U-Net and HAC shown a better performance detecting the boundaries. HCT method slightly failed to fully segment the lymph nodes, which most likely is due to the fact that the thresholding could not adapt to the intensity variations.
