(A) Cannabinoid-induced reversal of stress-induced dendritic retraction in cortical areas. (B) Cannabinoid-mediated engagement/activation of GABAergic interneurons of the BLA- reduces central drive to the CeA. (C) Cannabinoid-mediated reduction in central drive of the CeA results in downstream reductions in excitatory input to LC neurons, protecting them from consequences of hyperactivation.
