Partition coefficients of the perfect repeat “guests” into different “hosts”, FG phases assembled from Nup98 FG domain homologues from different eukaryotic species (Saccharomyces cerevisiae, Sc; Tetrahymena thermophila, Tt; Xenopus tropicalis, Xt; Branchiostoma floridae, Bf; Arabidopsis thaliana, At and Trypanosoma brucei, Tb), were measured at 150 mM NaCl (data see Source Data file), and ΔGpart. calculated by Eq. 1 was plotted against N for different Nup98 FG domain homologues (n = 3, with independent samples, mean values are shown, S.D.s are smaller than the size of the symbols).
