The hydroxytyrosol included in the formulation (0.52 g HT/kg feed) was provided by the commercial olive juice extract HIDROX® (Oliphenol LLC., Hayward, CA, United States) that contains a >12% of simple and total polyphenols from which 3.136% is hydroxytyrosol.
