eStandard body mass index (BMI, kg/m2) categories were used for (non-Hispanic) White adults (healthy weight 18.5 to < 25.0, overweight 25.0 to < 30.0, obesity ≥ 30.0). Asian-specific BMI categories were used for Chinese, Filipino, and South Asian adults (healthy weight 18.5 to < 23.0, overweight 23.0 to < 27.5, obesity ≥ 27.5)

fBecause the study cohort excluded adults with missing BMI or underweight BMI (< 18.5), the percentages in each weight category with prediabetes or diabetes should not be interpreted as prevalence statistics
