Sample size effect on the power of detecting population differentiation under different Nem values. Scenarios were simulated by combining different sample sizes (S), effective population sizes (Ne), and migration rates (m) under a simple symmetric finite island model of gene flow. The power of detecting genetic differentiation was assessed by computing the proportion of successful detections over 1000 iterations for each scenario.
