Table 2.

The p-values resulting from the Kolmogorov–Smirnov test used to compare distributions of brightening properties obtained from observations and the five simulation cases. The simulations started 6 (‘6h’), 4 (‘4h’), and 2 (‘2h’) hours before the EUV brightenings observation. Two additional 2-hour simulations include one with hyperdiffusion (‘2h_hd’) and one with an open top boundary (‘2h_open’). A p-value > 0.05 suggests no significant difference between the observational and simulated distributions.
