Uptake of fluorescently labeled immunoliposomes conjugated with high-affine IgG targeted to the transferrin receptor (OX26) in brain capillaries in vivo in the rat as revealed using spinning disk confocal microscopy. The OX26 immunoliposomes associate to brain microvessels. Immunohistochemical detection of the OX26 of the immunoliposome similarly reveals that the immunoliposome and its binding antibody accumulate in the brain capillaries. Scale bar = 20 µm.
