Spr2 mutants affect expression of nad1, nad2, nad4, nad5, and nad7 in the mitochondria. RT–PCR analysis of transcript levels of 35 mitochondrion-encoded genes in WT and spr2 mutants. The substantial decrease of nad1, nad2, nad4, nad5, and nad7 transcripts occurs in spr2 alleles. Normalization was performed against ZmActin (GRMZM2G126010).
