^aPBMC were cultured in the presence of medium alone, PHA (10 μg/ml), SEB (1 μg/ml), tetanus toxoid (1:10 Lf), C. neoformans (2 × 10⁵/well), or CCW/M (1.5 μg/ml). The percentage of CD3⁺ cells in the S and G₂/M phases of the cell cycle was determined by using propidium iodide stain on the day of maximum [³H]TdR incorporation for each stimulus. Cultures stimulated with PHA were studied on day 3, cultures stimulated with SEB were studied on day 5, and cultures stimulated with tetanus toxoid, C. neoformans, or CCW/M were studied on day 7.
