Virus replication in the eye of infected transgenic mice. WT (solid square), M1-γ34.5 (open circle), and M2-γ34.5 (solid circle) mice were ocularly infected with 2 × 105 PFU/eye of McKrae virus. Tear films were collected on days 1 to 7 p.i., and virus titers were determined by standard plaque assay as described in Materials and Methods. Each point represents the mean virus titer ± SEM for 20 eyes per group.
