Each circle indicates the mean negative event "−VE" rate (per cell, per 1000 s) for all cells in the field-of-view of one imaging trial. All of the cancer cell lines exhibit a −VE rate significantly greater than that of the benign MCF-10A breast epithelial line (p-values all ≤0.01. The p-values are for the comparison of the average per field-of-view −VE rate for each cancer cell line compared to the non-cancerous MCF-10A line using a Mann–Whitney U test with Benjamini–Hochberg correction for multiple comparisons (false discovery rate = 0.05).
