In the presence of the Na,K-ATPase inhibitor ouabain (1 mM), Yoda1 did not increase the Rb in cultured lens epithelium. (Panel A) shows Rb uptake in cells that were exposed to Yoda1 (1 µM) in Rb-containing Krebs solution ± ouabain for 10 min. Added alone, ouabain reduced Rb uptake. The concentration-dependence of the ouabain effect on Rb uptake is shown in the upper left (inset). (Panel B) shows the ouabain-sensitive component of Rb uptake.
