Angiotensin II contractile effect (expressed as percentage of change) in the ileum, proximal colon (PC), middle colon (MC) and distal colon (DC) of control (CTRL, n = 5–8) and streptozotocin-induced diabetic rats (STZ, n = 4–6) in the presence of the following antagonists: (a) candesartan (AT1R antagonist, 10 nM) and (b) PD123,319 (AT2R antagonist, 100 nM). Values are mean ± SEM.
