Subjects of study. Studbook numbers follow the house names of all subjects. * = forced pairing. All pairs incubated dummy eggs with the exception of the “Brown”-banded pair. Dummy eggs are given to pairs who show nesting behavior but are not recommended to breed. Incubation periods span the length of the breeding season (approximately mid-February through mid-August).
