The H₂O₂ catabolic activity of intact, catalase-depleted, or IgG-depleted Cape buffalo serum was determined by incubation with 1.25 mM H₂O₂ for 30 min in the presence or absence of 1.25 mM NaN₃, 0.25 mM β-mercaptosuccinate (MCS), or 0.125 M triazole, as indicated, and remaining H₂O₂ was assayed. Results presented are means of three samples tested per condition ± SD.
