Intervention: chlorhexidine liquid soap bath, admission bath between 1 and 1.5 hours after birth Comparator: neutral liquid soap bath, admission bath same as above Moisturiser/emollient: neutral liquid soap (ingredients: Texapon SBN (detergent), Dehyton KB (cocamide), Plantaren 2000 (detergent), Glycerin (emollient), Coperlan KDB (thickener), citric acid, deionised water, pH = 7) Chlorhexidine liquid soap bath (chlorhexidine digluconate liquid soap at 0.4%, resulting from dilution of 10 mL of chlorhexidine digluconate liquid soap at 4% in 90 mL of warm water that released 0.25% chlorhexidine) |
