The cutoff point of the MMSE for cognitive impairment was adjusted according to years of education. Patients who were illiterate according to the level ≤17 points, and a primary school education according to the level ≤20 points, postsecondary education or above according to the level ≤24 points; Hamilton Depression Rating Scale (HAMD) and the Hamilton Anxiety Rating Scale (HAMA) for emotion examination; depression was defined when HAMD score ≥17 points; and anxiety was defined as a HAMA score ≥14 points. The RBDQ-HK rating scale was used to detect whether subjects with a REM sleep behavior disorder (RBD) were defined when the RBDQ-HK score was ≥18 points. BMI, body mass index; plasma levels of PAMG5 and oligomeric α-syn were both graded in quartiles (grade 1–4).
