Autophagy activation with rapamycin or starvation modulates FcRn expression. (A) M-Mϕ and GM-Mϕ were treated on day 5 with rapamycin for 24 h and with chloroquine for the last hour. (B) M-Mϕ and GM-Mϕ were starved on day 6 for 4 h and chloroquine was added for the last hour. In A and B, levels of FcRn and LC3-I/II were examined by Western blot analysis and quantified. Values indicated on the bottom were normalized to GAPDH against the CTL. One representative blot in three experiments is presented for each treatment.
