FM, fat mass; SBP, systolic blood pressure; DBP, diastolic blood pressure; TC, total cholesterol; TG, triglycerides; HDL-c, high-density lipoprotein cholesterol; LDL-c, low-density lipoprotein cholesterol; FBG, fasting blood glucose.
Mediating effect models were constructed with predicted fat mass (In-transformed) as predictors, SBP/DBP (In-transformed) as dependent variable, and metabolic traits (In-transformed) as mediators adjusted for age, ethnicity, predicted lean body mass, dietary variety score, smoking status, drinking status, physical activity, family history of cardiovascular disease, family history of cancer.
Indirect effects were showed as beta coefficients and bias corrected 95% confidence intervals (95% BCCIs).
Direct and total effects were showed as beta coefficients (95% confidence intervals).
Mediation ratio was calculated as (indirect effect/total effect) × 100.
